WhatsApp wedding invitation message: examples to copy

Short messages to send with your wedding invitation link on WhatsApp, and polite ways for guests to reply.

Before you send

Send the invitation as a link, not as a forwarded image. A link opens the full invitation with the map and the RSVP form, and WhatsApp shows a preview with the title and picture.

Write a short message above the link. The invitation already holds the date, time and place, so the message only needs to sound like you.

A friendly reminder message

  • Hi [Name], a quick reminder to fill in the RSVP on our invitation before [date]. It takes a minute. [link]

How to respond to a wedding invitation on WhatsApp

If the invitation has an RSVP form, reply there. It is the answer the hosts count. A short message afterwards is a kind extra.

  • Thank you so much for the invitation! We'll be there and can't wait.
  • Congratulations! I've filled in the RSVP. See you on [date].
  • Thank you for inviting us. Unfortunately we can't make it, but we're thinking of you both on the day.

Tips
